About our Company

Rich Rappleyea began Dimensions North in 1981 as a general contractor. After having the privilege of being selected to restore several historical buildings in the area, he developed a deep sense of appreciation for their unique architecture. He began to study the area’s historic buildings, pattern books, design plates, and learn from local woodworkers and architects.

After decades of pursuing historically natured projects and working alongside field experts, Rich has developed an impressive repertoire of both skills and knowledge. Today he partners with his son, Brad, a graduate of Boston’s North Bennett Street School. Together they have a team of several highly skilled craftsmen.

With our years of experience and formal education, we are confident that our team is among the most qualified in the area. Tell us about your project today and we will strive to exceed your expectations.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Dimensions North for more than a decade on numerous historic preservation projects. The firm blends the best characteristics of the small contracting firm (detailed attention and project commitment) with the administrative capacities and breadth of services of larger firms. DN is honest, curious about new and alternate ways to solve problems, willing to take on complex projects, and always has the project’s best interests at heart: I know of not a single client who would not welcome them back."
